Not really. Lyke did a great job of course, but this guy has been with her every step of the way, and is standing by to take over, as long as we make the right hire.

He actually led the drive for the new facilities, and he's a 'football guy'. Great resume, and we're all hoping EMU does the right thing and promotes the guy.

I agree with EagleTough.
I've been following EMU athletics closely for a quarter century, and never before have we had an heir apparent on the staff who has as an 'inside' candidate been so well qualified.
He is very well known, very well liked, etc. by EMU boosters, etc.
It is hard to say, but I believe the Deputy AD was the day-to-day COO. Heather got the headlines, Christian Spears was the power behind the thrown.
He knows the MAC, facilities, etc.
