Ray Harper - MUther - 03-14-2017 03:50 AM

I saw him on CBSsports Sunday with his new team talking about the tournament. What is up with his nose? It was bright purple. Like Rudolph bright. I understand it might be cancer or something and I'm not making fun of him. I just have to know what the hell that was. Never seen anything like it.

Edit: Found it on youtube

Wow, that concentrated right on the nose. That's harsh.

First thing I thought when I noticed it years ago. But I have since talked to people that know him that tell me it's not true. He's not a big drinker. I know he drinks Diet Coke by the drum.

Do you know for a fact he's a big drinker? I used to drink like a fish for awhile and I never got a nose like that.

No. I don't know anything about his drinking habits. I was merely being a jokester. Most people assume that with a nose like that, it's gotta be beverage consumption related.

The correct term would be rhinophyma....a form of Rosacea. Wearing eye glasses increases the swelling and color. President Clinton had a mid case of it.

Harper does not drink, at least not in public, and I've never heard anyone say he's a private drinker. Stress will also increase the deepness of the color as will glasses. If you look at a few pictures you will see some where the color goes up to where his glasses sits on his nose. Others it's not as bad. No cure for it.

Would be shocked if Coach Stansbury doesn't have Rosacea the way his face gets red in the most common area of it....the cheeks. For most people it's the red face and that's it

"Then how the Gamecocks loved him, as they shouted out with glee, Ray Harper the Rednosed basketball coach, please don't lose by 33"

THAT's where WKU he s their mascot!!!! Got it!

I have witnessed him and a few of the assistant coaches in an elevator back in hot springs with a few cases of beer. It was before he was the head coach. They seemed a little embarrassed but it was late and weren't expecting anyone to be on elevator with them.

Yeah. He is a private drinker. Not saying he has a problem or that it is the cause of the red nose, just know that he will throw a few back when in a comfortable setting.

The man can coach. I would not want him anywhere near my program but he can coach.

If he could recruit and keep talent he would be amazing. Roster management was the reason he failed at wku. Was hoping he would finally realize that but took too long and we get very impatient.
