To our Friends at Tulsa - gostangs - 03-12-2017 05:29 PM Although SMU's draw from a seed standpoint was not great - we are happy to be so close to home and expect some fans to make the trek. Would love to adopt as many of you as possible to cheer on SMU this weekend. We know you don't love us forever (you may not even like us) - but we can make you some money and show well for the conference - so give us some love. Make some noise in the Tourney, y'all! RE: To our Friends at Tulsa - rabidTU2 - 03-12-2017 05:43 PM We will be cheering for you. No problem. There may be a lot of divided loyalty if you play KU because our ex-coach, Bill Self will be the competitor. But best of luck to you. Information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BOK_Center Its about 2.5 miles west of the TU campus in the heart of the downtown. If you can make it, there will be an open practice for all the teams on March 16th in the arena. I can't tell you when SMU will be assigned to take the floor right now. The doors will open at 11 am and the practices will pretty much run the entire day. You can watch all the teams practice as well as SMU. Its free of charge. I've been told the doors will close about 7:30pm. RE: To our Friends at Tulsa - rabidTU2 - 03-12-2017 05:49 PM I am sorry, I screwed that up on the morning time. It opens at about 11am, not 7:30am. But will close at 7:30pm. *Corrected above post. I also heard that they would open the arena on Saturday for the Friday winners who would be playing on Sunday in the same manner as will be done on Thursday. So it is a Thursday open practice, Friday game and winners would have Saturday open practice and Sunday game. I assume the times for Saturday practice would be the same as Thursday. RE: To our Friends at Tulsa - TUCandoit - 03-14-2017 11:35 AM I would personally suggest the Campbell Hotel. It's close to TU and not far from downtown. It's also not far from mid-town, brookside, and cherry street. They have very nice rooms and all rooms are themed. https://thecampbellhotel.com/ To our Friends at Tulsa - Pony94 - 03-14-2017 11:38 AM (03-14-2017 11:35 AM)TUCandoit Wrote: I would personally suggest the Campbell Hotel. I'm not staying in the Panic room RE: To our Friends at Tulsa - rabidTU2 - 03-14-2017 01:58 PM Just saw in the Tulsa World newspaper that there are only about 3,000 tickets left for Friday. Better hurry. The arena seats about 18,000 for basketball. RE: To our Friends at Tulsa - BigHouston - 03-14-2017 02:40 PM (03-12-2017 07:20 PM)Pony94 Wrote: Ok.
