I agree with Dedric. It should be a tradition beating Cincy in both football and basketball. We doing it in football just need to get basketball going again

Another interesting stat- UC is 22-10 at Fifth Third Arena against the Tigers.

The one loss vs Memphis I saw at The Shoe as a student was when Michael Wilson (dude for thr Tigers who had some incredible vertical) went off and scored a career best and did a Michael Jordan impersonation. It was ridiculous.

You do have the edge, and certainly the last three years have been brutal for UC fans. I am optimistic Coach Fickell turns things around. He's off to a great start with recruiting, staff hires and changing the culture that Tuberville brought.

From 1980-1987, Memphis won 15 of 17 matchups. Outside of those 8 years, UC has absolutely thrashed Memphis for most of the series at a 2-1 clip. It's not a Houston type thrashing by UC mind you, but ownage none the less.

Dedric not much of a history buff apparently.

for whatever reason, memphis/ cincinnati doesn't seem like a rivalry when it clearly should be. some classic games. is dedric lawson as good as his numbers?

We are talking about NBA potential. He is a good college player. He might leave anyway this year and got G-League. So done with the Lawsons and I mainly talking Keelon. Dude is greedy

Checking youtube for old UC / Memphis Clips. Sadly someone took down the elite eight beatdown, no sign of Logan's huge coast to coast tying basket where OT clinched the conference title (and Huggs beat Calipari...AGAIN)... but at least Kenny Satterfield's winner is there.
