Game Week: Ohio and @WMU - emu steve - 02-13-2017 04:56 AM

While Luckeyone leads the debate over the zone defense, we now officially enter the final third of the MAC regular season.

First up: Ohio.

Despite the loss of Campbell, Ohio has managed to play .500 ball in hid absence.

Ohio was always to be a very good team with Campbell, Simmons, Kaminsky, etc.

I have no idea how this game will turn out.

Ohio is a must-win, or else this season is probably DOA. We can't lose four home games in a row...that would be devastating.

They are still a pretty good team without Campbell, and we are reeling. Not feeling too optimistic, but I can't forget how lost they looked against the zone in the 2nd half of our game in Athens. Hopefully they don't watch Ball State's game tape.

I say Ohio wins by 10.

If you (or a friend) were in Vegas you could have Ohio +1 point.

EMU is a 1 point favorite tonight at home...

Ohio is 4-4 over their last 8 games. 4 losses on Tuesday night, 4 wins on the weekends. With how in-consistent this team has been, I expect them to run out early, then fade down the stretch to keep the streak intact. Hope not though :)

I do expect a big game from Thompson tonight though. No particular reason than just a hunch. Good luck. Hope its an entertaining game.

Edit: Just read that Ohio has averaged just 54 points per game in Ypsilanti since 2008....

RE: Game Week: Ohio and @WMU - Luckeyone - 02-14-2017 11:37 AM

Ohio lost Campbell who may be the best player in the conference.

EMU lost Raven Lee (2nd leading scorer in Conference last year) for whatever reason.

We've lost a couple home games in a row. I don't see the swagger and confidence in EMU right now.

Time for Murphy to pull us out of the nose dive. I say we win some how because Murphy has got to be feeling a lot of pressure.

Missing this one, unfortunately. I don't think the lady-friend would be too happy if I made her watch a mediocre MAC team on Valentine's Day. Last time I missed a conference game in it's entirety, we beat Toledo at home. Maybe I'll change this team's fortunes! When you're 1-6 in your last 7, I guess anything can help.

This should be the Thompson/Steele show tonight. Let them dominate around the basket, and don't let Dartis/Kaminsky kill us from three, and we should be fine. Easier said than done, though.

According to ESPN we are a 2 1/2 point fav.

Might be a bad game to miss, but enjoy Feb. 14, 2017.

Now up to 3 point fav.

The game has moved from (+10, Nickle's private line. Lol) to EMU by 1 and now up to 3.0.

I don't understand why the line has moved from -1 to - 3 today.

Did I hear that today we are an EIGHT seed. Not, not good.

As everyone knows, #8 (if they win the opening round) faces #1, Akron. Ugh!!

Lee playing tonight.

Damn, I wish we would learn how to pass the ball. We have players who control it for 5 - 10 seconds. Other teams pass it like it is hot potato.

Almost. If Nobles had made that short shot it would have been fun...
