5 of next 6 Bearcat games on CBSN - BeerCat - 01-15-2017 03:16 PM

This really sucks. CBSN is a joke and 5 of the next 6 games a large chunk of the fanbase will not see. Damn shame.

How do they not have a streaming outlet yet. Pathetic.

It's the worst. And when the lead in game goes long, they start the next game streaming on cbssn.com/live, so it's not as though they lack the technology.

If you use Kodi, the SportsDevil plugin can get you the stream without some of the dangers of the browser based sites. But it's still vulnerable to the source feed being slow or down. Which it is, a lot.

I am surprised it is not available more around Cincinnati. My Ohio house has it on the New Knoxville Television Company cable system, and my Michigan place has it on DirecTV.

I've got it in NKY on Cincinnati Bell, it's only $5 extra for the sports package. Just remove it after basketball season.

Same... I get a sports package in KY with Time Warner. I keep.it from Sept. Til April.

A cable network doesn't want to support cable cutters. Shocked, shocked I say.

On the plus side, I'm sure the OP would greatly appreciate some Big Lebowski quotes and references that relate to his sadness.

I have it on my normal Dish package, also have Kodi.

No doubt they don't want to do that. They will lose that battle though. I'm directing my disgust more At UC. They should not be ok with the product CBSN provides. Meanwhile ABC and NBC are airing infomercials which I'm sure are ratings monsters. How is CBSN actually the best option?

I may have to add kodi again. I had it awhile ago on a fire stick and just didn't use it much.

If you add MobDro you can watch live tv.

RE: 5 of next 6 Bearcat games on CBSN - BeerCat - 01-15-2017 03:51 PM

What exactly is mobdro?

Basically an add-on for Kodi. Instead of waiting for someone to put up a link for a tv episode after it has aired you can watch a live stream as it is airing.

CBS Sports Network is trash. Only station in the country that doesn't have live streaming. Can't wait to get out of this Tv contract.

I don't mind CBS Sports... I have it in Cincinnati without paying for the sports package. Announcers are no worse than the ESPNU games.

Sounds like I am glad I do not have CBSN today.

RE: 5 of next 6 Bearcat games on CBSN - Former Lurker - 01-15-2017 05:03 PM

It's on my Directv and I don't have the sports package. I don't think people decide which games to watch based on the TV channel. UC/ECU is just not a very appealing matchup. Putting it on ESPN doesn't change that.

RE: 5 of next 6 Bearcat games on CBSN - Bearcatbdub - 01-15-2017 05:50 PM

Cbs sports is awful.

RE: 5 of next 6 Bearcat games on CBSN - vabearcat - 01-15-2017 06:40 PM

Our games are on CBSSN because the AAC conference has a contract with that network that allows them to televise these crappy conference games. As was noted above, no one wants to watch ECU play, and the way Cincy played today, no one wants to watch them either.

Speak for yourself.

UC doesn't get a vote. ESPN farms out games like this to other stations for money. So not UC's call.
