If I were UConn I'd stay in the AAC unless Memphis heads to the B12.
With UConn and Memphis in the AAC its a solid basketball conference. One of them can't carry the conference alone but two of them can.

Mark it down. If UConn doesn't get into the Big 12 and they join the Big East for Olympic sports and go Football independent or in a smaller league, They will never get into a "P5" because they will become irrelevant 9 months of the year. The only thing that could change that is if they did join the MAC or C-USA they would have to win the conference and make the access bowl so how on a regular basis. I just think it would be a very bad move.

Major mistake if UCONN goes to Big East. That ship has sailed. Basketball schools are just that and UCONN is not. Major mistake that will kill their football program. Notre Dame you're not.
