Cincinnati's almost looks claustrophobic. It may just be the framing of the photo but.............

And sorry, UH, I don't like erector set looking structures. I'm just old school.

USF uses an NFL stadium so they are eliminated.
UCF is definitely an erector set.
Memphis Stadium is provided by the city(bowl game) so they are eliminated
SMUt is classic. I like that stadium.
Tulane is a joke of a stadium.
Tulsa is a renovation gone bad.

Best stadium in the AAC is...........drum roll.........East Carolina.

Where is a pic of Tulane?

Google UCF's Brighthouse Stadium...it's 100% erector set.

Having visited Navy when Georgia Southern played there, I voted for them. It's a beautiful stadium and reminds me a lot of Paulson.

I voted Cincy. I think their stadium is sweet.

LOL....how can you eliminate people? Memphis instance is the city municipal stadium but their major tenants are the Memphis Tigers as evidenced the Tiger Blue throughout and logos on the outside.

By the way its gotta be Nippert. A lot of history in that place.

RE: Best Stadium in the G5! (AAC Edition) - TrueBlueDrew - 07-12-2016 08:45 AM

I like Cincinnati's stadium just because it looks like a larger version of what I hope Paulson Stadium will look like one day soon.

Here's kind of a better picture. I like how the stadium is bowled on one endzone and has the Football center and boxes on the other, and then one side has a second deck and the other has a pressbox with club seating. That is my dream for Paulson in the future.

You may not know this, but SMU's stadium is all metal just like Houston and UCF.

They did a great job on the renovation and expansion considering they could not extend the footprint at all.

ECU stadium is very nice it has a p5 feel to it.

RE: Best Stadium in the G5! (AAC Edition) - panama - 07-12-2016 11:14 AM

Their entire program has a P5 feeling

RE: Best Stadium in the G5! (AAC Edition) - BurlingtonApp - 07-12-2016 11:30 AM

The only one I've been to is ECU. It's large and has a great atmosphere, but from pictures I'd say Houston and Cincy have the best. Mostly due to the surrounding views and setup.

RE: Best Stadium in the G5! (AAC Edition) - Bobcat2013 - 07-12-2016 11:38 AM

I agree with ECU, Cincy, and UH being the top 3. I voted ECU but all 3 are top notch.

East Carolina is finally removing the dinosaur of a press box and putting in a box similar to what Appalachian has. Will finally match the upper deck. Overall, the stadium is kind of dumpy but it looks large enough on TV.

Yes, all stadiums are made with steel beams. There is a big difference in appearance in concrete/brick facades on the outside of the stadium and leaving the beams exposed.

UH

Both schools have nice stadiums.

Not all have steel beams, but I know what you are getting at. I'd love for our upper deck on the east side to get a nice facade to cover up the beams too. Since UCF was mentioned they do have most of their steel covered by an outer facade. ECU is also a steel beam stadium except for the upper deck and recent end zone. You can see the steel in this photo.

There's a brick fence around it but the stadium itself is nothing more than a few sets of aluminum bleachers setup to form a bowl. I've been to several games since moving to Orlando three years ago...the way it shakes when you walk up the stairs makes you think it could be taken apart and moved in less than 30 days...

RE: Best Stadium in the G5! (AAC Edition) - panama - 07-12-2016 12:34 PM

UH built a nice Phase I
