Spring Game - Dirty Ernie - 04-07-2016 09:51 AM

Friends called to see if we were planning to see the spring game.

Wow, what could be better? 73, sunshine, Bronco football!

Going to round up the grandsons, they will love running around the stadium.

FYI, the game is on the 16th when temps should be 63/43...I thought the game was this Saturday also ..bummed that it's not

According to Fleck in MLive article it's not going to be a "full scrimmage" much less a game.

If that's what he feels is best for team, fine - but then don't try to sell it as something simulating a competitive contest ("Wooden Oar" game).

Call it what it is - a non-contact practice with public relations goings-on to end Spring phase.

I am assuming it will be just like last year. True, there will not be full tackling, but there will be blocking and defensive contact along the line of scrimmage. It does simulate some game type conditions and is still fun to see some of the new players. Weather couldn't be nicer. Giveaways, autographs, etc. I hope there is a good crowd. Team deserves it. Everyone, come on out if you can.

You're right. That's much catchier.

I hope to see some polished football based entertainment. So some flash and sizzle, not slobber knocking trench work.

In terms of a real game, I'm going to run my copy of the Bahamas Bowl tomorrow afternoon.

Major, go enjoy it for me, no matter what it is. Should be a GORGEOUS day to watch our Broncos improving their best.

RE: Spring Game - BaldingBroncoFan - 04-15-2016 04:04 PM

Baseball also hosts NIU at 1:00. Nice opportunity to catch some Bronco baseball and enjoy some of the weather.

It's an awesome day today! Hopefully the same for tomorrow.
