We finished 48th. out of 129 listed schools in Scouts final listing....Our best finish EVER..
We ended up ahead of 5 Big Ten teams.
Indiana tied for 52nd.
Maryland tied of 52nd.
Illinois 60th.
Rutgers 71st.
Purdue 83rd..
Our in state buddies didn't fare quite as well
cmu 96th.
emu 118th.
Who,pray tell, was at rock bottom?????
Akron 129th.

Talent is the number one variable for sure but there are others. Schedule, injuries at critical positions, depth and team chemistry play major roles. Nobody on our schedule is going to roll over because they've heard of P.J.'s fine recruiting classes. Most likely, the opposite is true. 9-3, 8-4.

Of course not but this seems to me to be a favorable schedule. I think 9-3 is about right but I think we can win the MAC at 9-3..

I could be happy with 9-3 as long as there was a MAC championship included. Best Bronco years in last 50 were 1966 & 1988. ...

We won nine (9) games under Coach Cubit in '08, including win over New Year's Day '08 Rose Bowl participant Illinois at Ford Field.

Even though Alec Gores is listed on Wiki as a prestigious alum, our crack athletic department didn't know who he was until he called KB to talk about the USC game.
It's one thing to solicit donations and another when it falls into your lap.

If we went 9-3 and won a MACC that would be a 10 win season at a minimum. Thats elite enough for me considering we haven't won a title in 28 years and never won 10.
If we can't win it this year with our talent and schedule you have to seriously question this staffs ability to do it.

IMO Teams need to play to be MAC Champions.
No big deal to be the best of half the league.
East or West Championships are a waste in both football & basketball.
