Pretty great all around considering all of the FCS teams. Can't wait to see how many we draw next week for USM!

RE: Attendance - Week 2 - Atlanta Trojan - 09-13-2015 02:04 PM

A little disappointed in our attendance... But the Students showed up! Our student section was expanded and it was full and stayed full!

A little? I thought you guys did much better than that attendance-wise. And wasn't it your first home game with a new coach? If not, what was your attendance last week?

It was the first home game yes. We always seem to not do well attendance wise with FCS teams.

Our next home game with USA will likely be over 20k as long as weather is good.

This is what Im talking about! I heard that Southern was not scanning all student ids after the lightning delay. It looked like there was 24k+. But being southern we report the number the computer tells us to.

I was on the upper deck and it wasn't as full as last year vs Savannah St so I feel pretty confident we didn't hit 24,000. Was a pretty good crowd regardless considering the crappy weather.

you might want to consider a home and home with Jax state. Guaranteed boost in attendance.

We will play you. But even if we wanted to play AT Jax we can't due to the rule.

Tell your administration to make a push to move up to FBS. Because they don't seem to want to.

Cajun Field seats 36,900 with a capacity of just over 40,000. Here's some pics from yesterday. Dunno. 27K sounds sparse to me.

Very strong week!

Glad to see us post 23k with all the rain we had that day.

What is stAte's stadium capacity? Figured for sure it would be a sellout for Missouri.

Capacity is just over 31K. Stadium record is 31,243 in 2012 when Malzahn obliterated MTSU for the Sun Belt Championship. Truth is, many of those tickets were bought by businesses and given away.

The reason Mizzou didn't sell out is that A-State dug its heels in and made a point - $55 ticket or no go.

Too many folks had been able to get free tickets to games over the years - and they had a rude awakening.

stAte is defining the value of tickets by insisting that folks pay up for SEC opponent.

Season tickets were $100 - so that helped drive season ticket sales over 10K.

Also, Hogs were in LR, so some of the casual/crossover fans were distracted by that Toledo ass whipping.

Surprisingly, Mizzou, with the Bootheel only 35 minutes from campus, didn't bring nearly as many fans as did #25 Memphis in 2004, or Ole Miss with Eli Manning.
