I was there. He looked good early and you guys adjusted and we threw the ball at will after the first quarter out of opportunity and necessity due to the aforementioned defensive line issues.

He ran for 2 positive yardage plays and then 0-negative yardage until a few plays late in the 4th quarter.

I know where Boone is 04-rock

Kind of helps when you are from NJ and drove home for vacations several times.

I also know what Boone is. I guess some of you didn't get that in US History?

Texas doesn't do much US History. I know from having kids go through the system.

Appy has not been a juggernaut at home in sometime.

App State may not be the home juggernaut that we were from 2004-2009, but we are 16-13-1 against GS all time with wins in Boone in 2009, 2011, 2013.

Not making a prediction about 2015, but I like our odds based on all current info. #12 in the nation in returning starts in all of FBS.

As of now, we are undefeated against Georgia Southern in the future.

It'll be interesting to see how Breida does without all those veteran OLinemen opening up holes for him.

The only question mark is left tackle. Other than that, we will be fine.

During spring workouts Breida posted a 10'10" broad jump which would be #1 for running backs in the 2015 NFL draft. His athleticism is off the charts. Multiple players have said they think he is faster than Jerick McKinnon who ran a 4.35 at the combine last year.

I hope you are right about the rest of the lineman. I'm not as optimistic.

Aside from battling injuries for most of the year, Michael Gordon had a disadvantage compared to a couple of these backs - he didn't get to play a game against A-State's horrific run defense to pad his stats! When your DC is quoted as saying, "We can't stop a hard charging marching band", you've got problems.

I think McGuire is the best, with Breida a close 2nd. Gordon is better than Cox.

It will be very interesting to see how Breida progresses this year. He was very raw going into last year and a little undersized at 185 so the coaches made sure we didn't overuse him. He was recently quoted saying he has put on 10 pounds and gained speed. I'd he can stay healthy, he has a shot to start getting noticed by NFL scouts. His speed and acceleration are incredible, so I think his upside is tremendous. If he can get up to 205-210 and keep his speed, no telling what he might do.

Both of them look like NFL backs to my untrained eyes. Then again, the quality of the offensive line has a lot to do with how good a RB looks and the stats he compiles.

Last year we had guys on the OL with zero experience in the scheme we are running. Two of them were FCS walk ons. Why would anyone believe we fall off the map in that area?

Wishful thinking? Not sure why so many folks are selling you guys short.

If App has a year in which we lose 4 starting OL and 2 more on the two-deep I will be concerned about our offense the following year, especially the first few games.

GS may reload on the oline, it is easier to play OL in that system than others.

I guess they are just trying to make up for the failed predictions of last season. Funny thing is that wasn't even the most talented team we have had in the last 5 yrs.
