Online streaming - Knightbengal - 03-24-2015 09:15 AM
The Jax Jaguars announced their game in London would be available via streaming only. The rumor is the b12 was exploring this type of deal as well. A real question is what is the AAC doing to develop it's streaming network and does this provide a method to pay for expansion in the age of gors?

I hope that the NFL takes advantage of the NFL app on Apple TV (and other devices). Making it easy to get the product is key to exploring a direct to consumer model.

I believe Verizon customers can stream NFL games.
Didn't Aresco say that he was looking at alternative ways to get AAC content to the masses? Well the first way he could start that would be with a quality mobile app.

But the quality has to be there. Would have been smart to keep some of the watches for that

If AAC sought to produce their own games, Youtube would be a great suggestion. The AAC games, in theory, could air as high as 4K. Many blu ray players have Youtube. Apple TV, Google's Chrome Cast, X-Box, Sony, Amazon's Fire, etc... have the ability to stream content.
What would be needed is a sales force to sell the advertising.

AAC already streams but for sports no one watches but only on its website ..
and streaming main sports is likely not to happen from us directly unless something has gone horribly wrong
we arent big enough to keep any thing of value from our tv deal for future experimentation, all our revenue sports content will be sold..if we are doing our own online stuff its because a network didn't want to air or buy all our games..aka with the MWC who has a hand full of fball/bball games no one wants to air or buy (atleast worth while a decent price) that they stream it from their website
any experimentation with online stuff will be from espn/fox/cbs/nbc or whoever buys us... cbssports don't have any legit intentions to go online but the other 3 have online streams (if you have it on cable) ...and theres a rumor espn might potentially cut the cable requirements with a fee soon, like hbo just announced

I get that since we sold our tier three rights. However if there is juice behind it, it might be a good thing to invest in for 6 years down the road
