Seedings for Bball tourney after games of 3/5 - GaSoEagle - 03-05-2015 11:19 PM
Here is how it stands right now.
1. Ga. Southern (1-0 vs. Ga. State) 14-5
2. Ga. State 14-5
3. ULM 13-6
4. Louisiana 12-7
5. Texas-Arlington 10-9
6. App. St. (Gets #6 due to win over Ga. State) 8-11
7. South Alabama 8-11
8. UALR 8-12
9. Texas St. 7-12
10. Ark. St. 6-13
11. Troy 5-14
Since App is ineligible the seeds right now would be 6. South Alabama 7. UALR and 8. Texas St.
I think Ark. St. and Troy are out of tourney now along with App who is ineligible. Even if Texas St. loses its last game and Ark. St. wins its last game Texas St. gets the last seed. They split their 2 games so it would come down to starting at the top. Both loss both games to Ga. Southern, but Texas St. has a win over Ga. State and Ark. St. does not, so Texas St. gets the 8th seed in that scanario.
The last 3 seeds will be South Alabama, UALR , and Texas St. and the order will be determined after the last games on Saturday for Texas St. and South Alabama.

Technically Georgia Southern is the 1 seed right now because you beat Georgia State.

Anyone care to sort out the mess if App and USA loses and TXST wins on Saturday? Would make a 4-way tie for 6th.

here's what I have on scenarios'
1 seed: Winner of Southern/State
2 seed: Loser of Southern/State
3 seed ULM
4 seed Cajuns
5 seed UTA
6 seed: USA (If they beat Troy) Texas State (If they beat ULM and USA loses)
7 seed: USA (If they lose to Troy and Texas State beats ULM, Texas State (With USA win and Win over ULM), or UALR (With Texas State loss to ULM)
8 seed: Texas State (With loss to ULM) or UALR (With Texas State win over ULM)

Depends on how an App tiebreaker is handled. If the Mountaineers are taken out of the tiebreak BEFORE results are run, than it goes like this
Texas State 3-1 vs UALR, USA
USA 2-2
UALR 1-3
Texas State gets the 6. UALR and USA go into a head to head tiebreak and Jags get the 7 by virtue of sweeping UALR.
If App comes into play...well this is messy
App State 3-3 vs UALR, TXST, USA
UALR 3-3
Texas State 3-3
USA 3-3
1st Tiebreak: Record vs Georgia Southern/State. Georgia Southern swept all four teams. (WOW) App, Texas State, UALR beat Georgia State. In this Scenario, Texas State would have to beat ULM, UALR and App got swept.
6 seed Texas State
3 team tie App/USA/UALR
USA 3-1
UALR 2-2
App 1-3
USA gets the 7 seed
UALR gets the 8 seed
So no change either way

I'm pretty sure Arkansas State is still alive, but on major life support.

I'll answer that, because you have the better team. You can't win the tournament if you can't get to the championship game.

I'll answer that, because you have the better team. You can't win the tournament if you can't get to the championship game.
Exactly, I think GS or the Cajuns are the only 2 teams that can beat GA State in a nationally televised final.
