Not sure if adding another guard looking for PT is great for this team. It means somebody is going to sit. The only way this is a plus is if Gadsden sits because of inury(a minus).
We will apparently be playing a four guard lineup. If so, that's not too many guards if we are going to play a faster pace. Plus, it's my understanding that Okauru is by far the quickest player on the team. If it's true that he is going to play, that should mean Bowen is in also. Bowen had a much better case to play than Okauru.
We'll see. I could see McGrath starting Boggs at the four along with Linssen so he has some size to defend and rebound. Plus, Boggs is a prototype four for McGrath.
Toews, Gadsden, Sims, Boggs, Linnssen. If Bowen can play as well, it creates even more problems.
I like Boggs, but there's no way Estime is coming off the bench next season. Estime at the 3, Sims at 4 in the starting lineup. Boggs will be good for depth, but no need to throw a freshman into the fire when you have an experienced player like Estime. All signs indicate that Jay will probably be our leading scorer this season.

It was a good sign to see Estime get buckets and if he can be consistent, that would be great. He and Skaggs are shooters but ideally you want to have a mix of shooting and driving. That's why they have Okauru and Tolefree. That's 2 more guys besides Kai that can give you something off the dribble and make a play. Small sample size, but Tolefree looked to me like he could get that the FTL and cause some damage. Okauru is very quick and will really help this team. These 2 guys will have some nice scoring nights for the Hawks.

Does anyone have an idea of how tall Jake Boggs actually is right now?
He is listed at 6'7", but every picture I see makes me think he's actually a little taller.

Internet was being super slow here in Southport and I couldn't verify. He was in a Uncw uniform on his Twitter page. Posted so someone could possibly verify. It says he's the class of 2021. Verbal commits only has Elon with an offer.

UNCW held a camp for prospects a few weeks ago. Jamari Mann was another 2021 prospect that posted a picture in a UNCW uniform. Brandon Cherry ‘21 (Charlotte Country Day) also attended. This is a common practice with recruiting, doesn't mean anything. In a lot of cases the players haven't even received an offer yet.
The staff has been pretty active with the 2021 class, which makes sense because they only have 1 open scholarship for 2020 as of now. 2021 6'4 guard Bennie Brooks of East Carteret High is another guy I've heard that UNCW is in on.
