Not sure Craig was 6' 11". 6'7" or 6'8"?

RE: Recruit Updates - Seahawk33 - 05-01-2019 11:31 PM

It’s May 2nd and still no additional commitments to add to our current 7 player roster. I hope you guys are right about this staff’s recruiting abilities. The clock is ticking down in regards to this recruiting year and we need to add at least 2-3 quality players for next year if we have any hopes of finishing in the upper half of the conference next season.

I can't wait to look back on these threads in a couple of years.

For what it's worth, my bet is that Coach McGrath is going to land some quality players, because that has what he has done best since arriving at UNCW.

But I also don't think it is out of line for posters to ask where they are and who they are at this stage of the recruiting calendar.

You're post here are worth their weight in gold.

I also don't feel it's out of line to ask. I'm just going to continue trusting that this staff will at least continue to do well what they HAVE done well, i.e. recruiting. That's the process I'm trusting. Beyond that, I don't have any issue with the questioning and the rest of any "process" in question.

How much does an internet post weigh (calculating for future payment)?

True. The price of manure will be somewhat less than gold I would guess.

Yep... I have to admit I have my concerns, but I'm staying optimistic since none of the guys that visited have committed elsewhere. While I'm hopeful we can get more than half of these guys, it certainly doesn't look good at the moment. The truth is you never really know until the player puts pen to paper.

Oh no, I spoke to soon...

RE: Recruit Updates - 82hawk - 05-02-2019 03:46 PM

Transfers usually transfer for very specific reasons.

1. They are REALLY good and looking at a much better program
2. They might not be that good and want more PT(because they think they are good and deserve more PT),
3. They want to play on a winning team.

That's about it. So, which one of those categories of players will choose UNCW?

RE: Recruit Updates - HAWKING - 05-03-2019 08:20 AM

Grad Transfer Carter Skaggs 6'5" Shooter (Washington State) on campus this weekend. Interest from Nevada/JMU/Akron. Played Prep with Kai. Superb lefty stroke. Poor defender.

would you say the poor defender is lack of effort, or skill?
