His open court ball handling and moves to the hoop were the most impressive.
I agree... Looks to have the ability to hit an open 3 as well. The talent is there, it's all about how he develops once he gets on campus.
Also listed at 6'6" now. Getting some good size on the roster.

Channel Banks is visiting Akron this weekend. Already visited ETSU. Will be interesting to see if he holds off making a decision long enough to get to Wilmington.

Akron was his first offer. UNCW got in the mix really late, no surprise. With a scholarship open and no commits after two official visits, I would imagine they offer someone else within the next couple of days.

Right, and he had previously eliminated everyone other than Akron and ETSU, before reopening his recruitment because it was stressful. He looks like a good player, but you can't win 'em all.

Kids can always commit verbally. We aren’t to the signing period yet so they have time. We could really use one of these guys. Both appear to be at the level we need to sustain success going forward. Both should have potential playing time and the guard would be an immediate impact player.

I don't think we should be concerned, necessarily... The only time you see a guy commit on an official visit is when he's 100 % sold on the school... Akron had been recruiting Channel Banks a couple of months before we got in the picture, I would imagine he already had his mind made up. In the case of these two players, we offered fairly late, so I think the staff has done a good job getting them in quickly to see the school. I believe the initial signing period opens tomorrow. The kids probably have a couple more visits set up before they chose which school they'll attend. A recruit only gets 5 visits, so we know we at least have a shot at these guys.

Wow, so apparently Pacific had a good program in the 2000s. Definitely didn't recall that... Also, Damon Stoudamire is their coach. He had a long career in the NBA, that has to be appealing as a recruit. He's 25-40 in his first two years, so I'm not overly concerned. We got him on campus, and he has a past connection with Coach Esleeck. If we don't get him, another school is going to have to be mighty impressive.

Jervae Robinson has now been offered by St. Bonaventure. No bueno
