The name I haven't seen mentioned here but would seem to make sense is Lavar Batts. Was recruited here by Keatts, and then was his first signing at NC St. He eventually left for UNCA and is now back in the portal. I know he isn't the big that everyone here is solely focused on, but talent is talent.

I tend to agree with you on having reservations about players who are leaving their 2nd school. However, I feel like with this portal and the free transfer year... it's providing kids options they didn't used to have. I wouldn't advise it if I were their parents, but it seems to happen a lot more often now than it used to. IMO, it's bad for college basketball as a whole.

878 names in the portal. Last year on this date, 439. We were early to the party, but it is getting crowded. While we still have holes, seemingly everyone does and the tournament isn't even over. Big opportunity for Siddle here.

UNCW lands a commitment from Morehead State Grad Transfer James Baker Jr. 6’6” 205. 7.7 ppg and 4.4 rpg. Started 27 games for a team that won the OVC, played 34 minutes in their 1st round loss to WVU.

Played mostly the 4 at Morehead State. He’s using his extra Covid year as a grad transfer, 1 year of eligibility.
