Good read - thanks for that!

Yeah, the Broncos could use him on the court this season...!

I'd settle for Donald Lawson, heck even Dan Hess. But with freshmen down low this should not have been unexpected.

it was one loss...to Akron...in Akron. I think we will have a better understanding of this team after Saturday.

Not that loss, but rather the weakness that is the team's post play. With two freshmen, and one redshirt sophomore with almost as many made 3s as rebounds, the post defense and overall rebounding are very weak.

Forsythe and Isiah together are far and away the best centers in the league.

I expect by mid Feb. that we'll see a break out game from the center position. It's often not how you start conference play, but how you end it.

Im honestly more concerned about Dave Brown and Richie. They've got to find ways to make teams pay on a consistent basis. Either get to the hole, get to the line, or start draining shots consistently from the perimeter. To me, a senior and a sixth year senior should be a problem for opposing teams and to date they haven't been, at least not consistently.

Oh wait, this is a Joe Reitz thread. 04-chairshot

76 had a heck of a game yesterday for Indy. Was watching him quite a bit and was able to contain his man and go to the limit, but not hold for much of the game. Obviously his hands and athletic skills make him very good

Joe had to make it the hard way, going practice squad and development for a couple years. I'm proud he stuck with it. I never had a doubt he could get the job done.

Reitz replaced former "holding maching" and Detroit Lion 1st round bust, Gosder Cherolis. Frankly, I think Cherolis doesn't get his spot back next year, and Mr. Reitz might be seeing a hefty raise should that happen.

I couldn't agree more.

In the second half of the game yesterday, the broadcasters made special mention of Joe, saying how he had played basketball at Western Michigan, how he left WMU as the 3rd leading career scorer, and how he never played college football, but his perseverance has paid off. I am glad he is still playing this weekend.
