Well, good for the players, so there's that.
Rice has a few things to do here: never beat Fresno in 6 tries, so there's that.
Never been to or won Hawaii Bowl, so there's that.
6-7, Yikes! But then, Rice finds ways to lose to exactly these kinds of teams.

Boy is this an underwhelming game. The Bulldogs squeaked into their conference title game (and bowl eligibility) because the rest of the division was awful and Rice lost its final game of the season 76-31. Advantage Fresno State because it’s in a better league, but this game might be unwatchable.

Fresno played well down the stretch this year, Burrell finally figured out how to play in November. The Bulldogs offense was pretty good yesterday, but his INTs cost us the conference championship game. I wouldn't completely write Fresno off - realize that they had to face off against Utah, USC and Nebraska. Another L (Wyo) they decided to try out the freshman QB and it backfired miserably. With that said, I do expect Rice to edge out the dogs by 7-10 pts.

I want this win so badly. They always beat us in the WAC days. A win would be so satisfying, especially after the bad loss to LTU. I'm happy about this bowl. It's a good bowl game

I know this bowl is bad for your travelling Owls' fans, but it's great for the players. Will be the only chance most of them get to go have a week in Hawaii, and I think that's a great reward for a good season. GL Rice fans, you've got a quality team despite that one hiccup(we've alllllllll got that one hiccup) and all of us CUSA fans will be rooting for you, win that bowl game!
