To The Thundering Herd and their Followers... - Matrix - 11-22-2014 10:55 PM

Today's game between Marshall and UAB was like a dream come true, even though the Blazers (by me being a fan) didn't win the game, I felt so graced by being there to witness it and feel the essence of a true football atmosphere...There were more fans there than I could have possibly expected, and the size of the Marshall followers was very impressive to me and greatly appreciated, congratulations on the victory, by the way. Your presence there made just as much of a contribution to the aura of excitement that game provided as UAB's....Thank you all so much for making me a memory, and I will be rooting for the Thundering Herd to stampede thru the rest of the regular season, and I feel for whoever draws you in a bowl game, it was such a delight to chat with several Marshall fans in the parking lot after the game, such a classy and genuine bunch...You have represented Conference USA and college football with maximum integrity and valor....I'll be keeping a good thought for you...

Awesome post, Matrix. We get a little crazy on here, but in person we are all very hospitable and respectful as fans of all the schools of CUSA are. Well except for the dirty nerds at Rice. Figure we might be playing them again. Might as well get it started.

Football makes all of us a little crazy, & that's alright with me. ;-) One of your fellow fans told me he couldn't understand why the scumbags of the UA Board Of Trustees want to shut us down, I showed him the sign I'd made for today's game with a photo of the top scumbag pushing for our team's expiration, Paul Bryant Jr. He was astounded that the son of a legendary figure in college football could stoop as low as this...

His daddy would be right there towing the company line with the rest of the Punk 5 if he was around today. No disrespect intended, but self-perceived aristocracy breeds self-perceived aristocrats.

I really hope UAB makes it. You guys and USM are the teams in the conference we have the longest relationship with since we've been in the east together. Bad enough losing you guys to the west, don't want to lose you altogether. Can't get excited about another Belt team coming over, I think we already got all the best ones.

In this case, the apple didn't fall far from the tree, his daddy was just as arrogant and anti-Birmingham as his miserable, disgusting son!

Much respect here, both for how UAB played and that the crowd on the home side looked very impressive on TV.

Every damn game at UAB is always a tough one if not a loss. I've said all year that was the game that worried me and sure enough you saw what happened. Good luck next week! I hope UAB MAKES A BOWL GAME.!!!!!!

I just couldn't help but think how much the place would be rocking if you guys were in a 35k seat stadium.

Outside of Marshall, I think I root more for UAB than all other programs combined. I truly respect and love your program and fan base. The stuff that you guys deal with is amazing imo.

I hope that you guys overcome this, get your stadium built, become a big time player in FBS football and then they make a movie about you guys one day.
