The coach is obviously an idiot

Hopefully he can use the exposure to get a shot at a pro career somewhere.

You'd think they'd know a good defender.

Wonder if they will keep that Lebron guy?

dayum. O well, he is just beginning.

I was hoping he'd at least stuck around to play in the Cavs game here Wednesday night.

RE: Chris Crawford waived..... - spankadelphia - 10-19-2014 10:46 PM

His deal was partially guaranteed, right? Hopefully he got a nice little payday.

I believe it was a case of guaranteed contracts, and probably not entirely the coaches' decision. He would really have needed to impress big-time to jump over a guaranteed contract.

Veteran Professional basketball players are really good, as a group. The mindset that makes them pros, plus the maturity of real-life experience in the game makes it difficult to outshine them. Age and treachery usually beats youth and skill.

Good luck to Chris.

Has anyone heard anything from Geron Johnson? I read at least one column that stated he was the most likely NBA pro of the 4 kings. As far as I could tell, he didn't play Summer League, either.

As several have stated on this board months ago, Crawford, JJ and Johnson will all have to play international ball to make $$. I believe M. Dixon is already over seas.

I believe a year playing overseas and making some decent money will make them hungry to land an NBA roster spot in 2016.

Dixon is in Lithuania. Wouldn't surprise me if Joe didn't try to go overseas bc of how close he is with his family. No idea why GJ hasn't already headed overseas. He didn't even get invited to play Summer League so you'd think he'd be over there making money.

GJ played Summer League...first session with Houston. Latest info is he is still working NBA deals here.

Go Geron! Lol. Now everybody just stop saying he didn't get invited to Summer League...will ya.

Happy to be corrected on this one. Hope Geron is able to stick somewhere.
