Wow, you have such a thing for Marshall...

Like a jilted lover or something. Did they deny your student application or something?

Actually I am making fun of two threads that I have seen on these boards about ECU big OOC win (VT) losing the other night to Pitt.

Go FIU, beat Marshall

RE: Marshall's Big Out of Conference Win Not Looking So Good - PirateMarv - 10-18-2014 05:10 PM

FIU stinks to no end. They are not beating anybody.

RE: Marshall's Big Out of Conference Win Not Looking So Good - JHG722 - 10-18-2014 05:39 PM

We already established that Marshall's big win was their spring game.

RE: Marshall's Big Out of Conference Win Not Looking So Good - NBPirate - 10-18-2014 05:39 PM

FIU up early on Marshall 7-0

RE: Marshall's Big Out of Conference Win Not Looking So Good - HuskyU - 10-18-2014 05:45 PM

FIU looks like they came to play today.

This thread is about the fact that Marshall fans were all over this board over the last couple of weeks trying to say their win over Akron was a better win than anything on our schedule because they beat Pitt….Then the drumbeat from Marshall fans got even louder on this deal Thursday night after Pitt beat Vat Tech at home with Tech's top 3 running backs being oiut injured. Loved it when I saw the score showing Akron losing to Ohio…That should stop all that talk…..

Where are all the Marshall fans now talking junk about our wins??? UNC beats a pretty good Ga Tech team last night and they took ND to the wire last week…I do not see them commenting on that this week.

No it won't.

I only saw Marshall fans saying it made the win against VT less impressive. Now, CBS Sports is saying it too in their ranking projections.

"16. East Carolina (18). Bye in Week 8 for the Pirates, Thursday night showdown with, uh, UConn in Week 9. Sorry, ECU, but it's true: after Virginia Tech went down (again) at Pitt, this resume remains a bit thin for a ranking this high."

I guess the next thread will be about CBS Sports, or how every AAC team could absolutely destroy their writing staff. ECU is a good team, but the VT loss did diminish that win.

If ECU's resume is "thin" then Marshall's is anorexic.

"East Carolina (5-1) -- Next Week: vs. UConn

Outlook: Have you ever watched a night game in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium? Saturday nights might be the best, but I'm expecting a good show from the Pirates fans on Thursday night for a nationally televised broadcast. The Pirates will look to win its sixth game, but most importantly continue the path to a New Years Six bowl game."

Your point?

I don't know why you guys sweat Marshall so hard. You are convinced every AAC team could demolish Marshall, and we have no chance of gaining the Access Bowl. It seems like you are wasting a ton of energy trying to discredit a team you all agree would barely win a game in your conference.

Mardshall is a fine d1aa program, as they have always been. They are still beating up the same d1aa schools they always did. It is what it is. Can they beat a bad d1 school every now and then. Sure. Does it make them any different than they have always been. No.

Yawn

See, this is the attitude. Great insight.

His point is that CBS still thinks ECU gets the access bowl. Your projections came from somewhere else.
I'd bet 95% of your posts are trying to discredit ECUs wins against two P5 teams or trying to say Marshall's schedule is somehow better than ECU's
