UCLA -24 - ncrdbl1 - 08-31-2014 02:27 PM

Early line. Let's see how it moves during the week.

RE: UCLA -24 - SmokyTiger - 08-31-2014 02:34 PM

I think we beat that.

WOW! If Ifedi doesn't play, line goes to 32!!

RE: UCLA -24 - UofMstateU - 08-31-2014 03:23 PM

I may have to pull the trigger on that. I cant imagine there would be a lot of money coming in for UCLA to cover given the inability of the offense to score yesterday.

RE: UCLA -24 - Joe1 - 08-31-2014 03:32 PM

For you guys that know college football.....can we beat them?

If our defense can keep the Bruin offense in check and our offense has good hands for the better part of the game, I think the Tigers make a game of it. Might even surprise us. Who knows, the Tigers are certainly due a couple breaks.

Our defense can absolutely stop them. My only concern was the offense. Seeing what I saw yesterday eased that a bit, but our O line will still be out matched

Remember Dudes, we just smoked a terrible Dll team, i wouldnt get excited and bet the farm just yet.

RE: UCLA -24 - oldmangrizz - 08-31-2014 04:39 PM

That sounds like a lot. Glad I'm not a betting man.

APSU is an FCS (formally 1-AA) level school.

Division Two is a level below FCS.

Anything can happen but it's extremely unlikely.

Out of curiousity. Does anyone know wh[/align]at the line was when we beat USC

No, but our defense back then was notorious for holding teams to a few field goals at best. I cant imagine it would very large of a spread, even though USC was mentioned as a title contender that year.

RE: UCLA -24 - hartless - 08-31-2014 06:04 PM

UCLA has OL issues and I suspect we didn't see the Memphis offence at full throttle. I think we are better than most people think. I think the Tigers will get a W.

If anything, people are talking positive football. At least for now. Let's hope it lasts.

If Ifedi misses the game which is likely. That should negate their problems with the OL. Issue will be can we stop the run with our front 7. If so good. if not then they may take advantage of that and play action and beat out safeties. Pit corners are solid but safety is an issue. We will need to be able to run or they will key off on Lynch and make him throw when he is not ready and his habit of throwing to other team could be an issue.

UCLA's defense looked very good yesterday....if we can move the ball on them, it will be a moral "victory" if nothing else.....why did Ifedi have to get hurt before this game?? 03-pissed

Ricky Hunter has some big shoes to fill, literally, but I think he has done a good job this fall and will rise to the challenge.
Not sure who the 3 is.

UCLA's defensive front did look good yesterday. Our OL will be challenged that's for sure.

It will be as bad as UCLA wants it to be. We ain't play Austin Peay.
