OT: Western Carolina leading South Florida near Halftime - GoApps70 - 08-30-2014 08:38 PM 14-13. They had had a rain delay. WCU moving the ball well. RE: OT: Western Carolina leading South Florida near Halftime - GoApps70 - 08-30-2014 08:41 PM 17-13 Western now. Their receiver dropped a TD pass in the end zone. RE: OT: Western Carolina leading South Florida near Halftime - AppAttack - 08-30-2014 08:54 PM Wow... what in the world has happened to S. Florida? Seemed like just a few years ago they were in the top 5. RE: OT: Western Carolina leading South Florida near Halftime - Usajags - 08-30-2014 08:55 PM So if Western Carolina pulls this win out, does it come with an auto bid to the SBC??? Yes. The Sun Belt invites Western Carolina Monday if they beat South Florida. Jot it down. RE: OT: Western Carolina leading South Florida near Halftime - GoApps70 - 08-30-2014 09:16 PM That would be something since WCU has not won a Southern Conference game, other than beating Elon last year who left for the CAA, since 2010. This is why think them leading South Florida is so unusual as much as anything. Plus their head coach was App recruiting coordinator for many years until a couple of years ago. RE: OT: Western Carolina leading South Florida near Halftime - bullitt_60 - 08-30-2014 09:17 PM Trickeration! RE: OT: Western Carolina leading South Florida near Halftime - GoApps70 - 08-30-2014 09:59 PM Guess Western Carolina recovered an onside kick off earlier. Willie Taggart's team is up by six at the end of the 3d quarter. WCU had suspended 5 players for this game, including their top receiver and defensive back. App State is 58-18 against WCU so am amazed how well WCU is playing. Coach Speir seems to have done a good job preparing them. |
