Possible kick returner - bostonbronco - 08-08-2014 09:03 AM

This freshman certainly has the speed. Any thoughts?

Definitely looks like he has the speed/patience and hands... I like how he can just turn on the burners and run past guys who looked like they had an angle on him... Deceptively fast... Time will tell if he can get some reps in camp at that position... Id like to see him give it a shot.

RE: Possible kick returner - WheresWaldo42 - 08-08-2014 09:28 AM

If he can catch the ball when punted to him (easier said than done) he might be a huge weapon in that part of the game.

And what better way to get a young speedster acclimated to the college game than on special teams where he can just catch the ball and use is speed and ability.

Where is Dipstick with his brilliant analytical platitudes?

"You Can't Teach Speed!"

"You Can't Teach 6 foot 6!"

"You Can't Teach Long Arms!"

Jeez man do you have anything to do besides antagonize WMU football fans?

Other than a pissing match with Dipstick I've done nothing to "antagonize WMU football fans" unless said fans like you are afraid that P.J. (or the marketing dept in one solitary post) can't withstand some questioning and/or criticism.

In the case of PJ, if you can't stand the heat, get out of college athletics. In the case of overly sensitive fans like you-- don't visit most online college sports forums, including this one. However, I hear that CMU has a forum full of happy talk that has been cleansed of dissenting opinions and criticism; Sounds like you would fit right in there.

Oh okay well you just keep on holding PJs feet to the fire by yelling at CD2 in a thread about the kick return game.

Don't act all innocent like you don't have a dog in the fight and then work your elbow in while claiming to be the spokesman for all offended WMU fans. 03-puke

Dipstick pissed (unprovoked) on my marketing post so I gave back a little shot here over his repeated use of inane platitudes like those listed. It's not like the first pissing match ever seen on this forum.

RE: Possible kick returner - Chipdip2 - 08-08-2014 03:31 PM

You're a Slappy Sockpuppet. Go back to Chimp Illy and stop wasting our bandwidth.

Hey Genius, we're talking about FOOTBALL here! FOOTBALL. This is the FOOTBALL forum, get it?? If you want to go talk smack over on the basketball forum then at least that doesn't make you look like quite as much of a frustrated old fool. Talking relentless smack about CMU and EMU on the FOOTBALL forum makes you look like bitter fool in need of psychological counseling. Now do you understand? Good.

RE: Possible kick returner - coax - 08-08-2014 03:53 PM

Dipstick is so full of hatred for CMU you'd think we're discussing al-Qaida sawing someone's head off, ISIS rounding up religious minorities for slaughter, or the Taliban stoning a girl to death for going to school. It's bizarre how much hatred he spews out over CMU. Does that seem psychologically balanced and healthy? One could say that maybe he's just playing but then the nasty personal attacks on the kid from Mendon puts the lie to that theory. He really IS full of hatred toward CMU. Now don't get me wrong, I like a good, healthy sports rivalry as much as anyone. What Dipstick engages in is NOT good, healthy rivalry. His version of rivalry is more like bitter mental illness. Get Help Dipstick, you need it!

I'm talking about our championship culture. I'd think you'd be happy about it, but strangely you seem a tad put off by it.

I'm not talking basketball, it simply my signature, celebrating our championship culture. A real Bronco would be on board with that signature.

CHIMP SOCKPUPPET ALERT!

RE: Possible kick returner - Chipdip2 - 08-08-2014 04:19 PM

How did this thread go from a discussion on a 4.3 freshmen returning kicks, to someone whining about the Chips being besmirched?

Oh yeah........Chimp Sockpuppet alert!

RE: Possible kick returner - bostonbronco - 08-08-2014 07:24 PM

Jevonte Seabury is smallish at 5'9" and 170 lbs but that may be all he needs.

"Quite possibly the fastest player in the state of Florida with 4.3 40-yd dash and 10.4 in 100m dash."

4.3 in the 40 yd dash is flying.

That's true, but it's often an exaggerated time. But there's no doubt he's a burner.

RE: Possible kick returner - wmubroncopilot - 08-08-2014 07:30 PM

Thought I remembered reading Drew say that Seabury is playing mostly defense? Not that it has anything to do with kick returning but curious if anyone knows more.

Maybe if people could go to practice, lol.

RE: Possible kick returner - New School Bronco - 08-08-2014 08:11 PM

I haven't really heard of seabury much yet

The true good speed is a thing of beauty. Very rare thing. If this kid truly has it, I'd go to every game for no other reason that the chance to see one of those true miracle plays. Been a long time since I've seen a back for instance really get the edge on a sweep. Would love to see that just once.
