I have absolutely no recollection of that game at all. Maybe that is a good thing.

I think I do. Wasn't it there and they had the Law Firm?

and did they have Dexter McCluster? and they ran the wildcat a bunch but called it the "wild Rebel"?

No. It was at the Liberty Bowl on a Sunday. No Law Firm, but McCluster should have been playing.

miss didnt finish in the top ten. they did not go to atlanta. did not go to a bcs bowl they were vastly overrated. i honestly cant remember the last time they finished in the top ten. but whatever, they can print the T shirts...preseason top ten and stuff to go along with this

i dont think anyone we play this year will finish in the top ten.

UTK finished 9th in 1996.

Actually- misppiii came in thinking they were national title good- the game was a one score game into the 4th quarter- then mispppi did pull away for the deceptive final score. They lost several games that year and proved to be the most over hyped team in the nation from 2009.

And no- just because they were better than us does not mean we cannot giggle at their national championship thoughts based on beating Moo the prior year.

I remember that game. It was super hot, and the kick-off was right in the middle of the afternoon. A. Hall was terrible that day - if we had a QB, that could have been a totally different game. He threw a ridiculous Pick 6 right before halftime (we were down 10-7 at the time). Also, the score wasn't really indicative of the game. Note in the box score that Ole Miss scored with 6 second left in the game. One of a long list of reasons why I hate Ole Miss - time was running out, everyone assumed they were going to take a knee. Our defensive players were literally walking off the field, and they ran it in for a TD. I get it, shame on us for walking off the field, but seriously who tries to score with 6 seconds left and a 21 point lead! Infuriating.
