Still a little concerned about this guy's character...no doubt about his talent.

Nice addition. Now if you guys can get him up on the defensive scheme fast, he can slide right in. 04-cheers

All 3 A&M Defensive starters that "left the program" were all arrested over the last few months.

Maybe Sumlin now has a zero tolerance policy.

Still, if this player had to transfer somewhere...UH can certainly use him...can't teach experience.

he wasn't kicked of the team, that incident was almost 4 months ago, he just left A&M last week

and sumlin released a statement saying he will miss him but understands why he's leaving

(and an interesting side note is that the way they identified him in the pouring beer incident months ago is that he told one of the witnesses he was an A&M player but he really wanted to transfer to rice, that was before the incident, so obviously transferring was in his heart from the get go)

I know...that's why I didn't say he was kicked off the team...just noted that he left.

Since he poured beer on a Rice fan does he get 3 credit hours too?

Transfers rarely amount to anything but it appears we may have something useful here.

In this case I have to disagree. Defensive line is premium in needs of maturity and size/ experience. It really worked for Tulane when davenport transferred from LSU. He was an impact player and is now with the redskins.

A star player at a position of need?

Um, yes plz.
