Quote:...Game one will be Sept. 7, 2019, at MTSU, as Duke will become the fourth ACC team to visit Floyd Stadium – joining Georgia Tech, Maryland and Virginia.

Game two of the series will be Sept. 5, 2020 in Durham, North Carolina.

"This should be an exciting series for our fans as we continue to bring quality non-conference opponents to Murfreesboro," MTSU athletic director Chris Massaro said. "Duke continues to grow its program under David Cutcliffe, and we look forward to hosting another power conference member." .....

These are the type series C-USA needs. Winnable games vs. P5 as opposed to body bag games.

Kudo's MT. Very good and winnable, or at a minimum, competitive series.

Go CUSA!!

When Duke came to FIU for homecoming a few years ago, that was our highest attended game in program history. We should have won the freaking game too. Hopefully this results in similar success for MT. Good job.

This will be a good series for you guys. In the past Duke's football program was garbage and beating them back then wasn't anything to brag about. It's a totally different program now. They should of beat Texas A&M last year in the bowl game. Beating them will definitely be a good thing.

Agreed. If they continue their current trend they'll be a top 25 quality program every year. It is a big grab for MT and I hope I can be there for the game in 2019.

I'll believe last year was not just an aberration when I see it. Not saying they go back to a dumpster fire of a football program, but I have little to no expectation that Duke football is going to be a perennial top 25 quality program any time soon.

I don't think it was an aberration. Coach Cutcliffe and steadily improved the strength and condition program as well as brought in some top recruits. They are currently ranked #5 in ACC in recruiting and #15 overall. They were ranked #68 in 2013 with mostly 2 and 3 star players. Those are the same players that won the Coastal division and almost beat Texas A&M. They ended the season with a 10-4 record. They have definitely bought into what Coach Cutcliffe is selling. His 2015 class includes 3 *4 players with SEC Pac-12, Big 10, and Big 12 offers. They ending the season ranked #22 in the AP polls and #22 in the USA today polls. I believe Dukes football program is gonna shock you and a lot of other people as well.

They have been on the rise over the last few years - in 2012, Duke went 6-7 and went to their first bowl since 1995 after spending the last decade plus with no more than five wins. Last year they had 10 wins, their highest total in program history. The last time they had at least 8 wins was 1994. I expect they'll have another winning record again and make a quality bowl as well, along with a lower top 25 rating.
