2015 OOC app state - Check Yosef - 03-25-2014 10:29 AM
I don't think this has been mentioned since released; 2015 OOC for app has been finished:
Sept 5th Vs Howard University Bison in Boone
Sept 12th @ Clemson University Tigers
Sept 19th Vs University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles
Sept 26th @ Old Dominion University Monarchs

Appalachian State will play at Clemson and ODU in 2015
Will have Southern Miss and Howard University visiting Boone
for football games.

You guys will probably beat USM. Can't imagine they'll have all the suck shaken off by then.
ODU will be a tough match up. Winnable, but tough. Clemson is a bodybag game. Howard should be an easy win.

Never know about the Clemson game. At this point not expecting to win but you never know. Even though we probably do know.
Believe we will beat ODU but could be a close one. A lot will depend on them being able to have a much better defense by then.
Southern Miss has a lot of time to rebound by 2015. We will see how we stack up with them when we play at Southern Miss later this year.

Only 1 money game. Looking good! We have Western Michigan and Citadel at home, and UGA in Athens...not sure if the 4th one is set up yet. I'm sure one of my fellow GS posters will know.

I have heard we are playing at a B12 team for the other game in 2015 but I have not heard which one. We seem to be on the track of playing 2 money games a year, 1 FCS at home, and 1 hone/home vs. another G5 each year.
I wish we would reduce the money games to 1 and play 2 home/home vs. G5s each year.

I highly doubt Georgia Tech will play us again after this year especially if we beat them and if the SEC goes to 9 conference games I can easily see Georgia saying "no thanks' to future games also.

I have been impressed with our scheduling those far. The formula of one BCS away, one home FCS, and two G5 home/away is a good one for the first three years.
The other great things about the schedule is both 2015 away OOC games are drivable for the fanbase in ODU and Clemson. There are 9 games in 2015 I can drive to in under 5 hours.

Howard is in the MEAC, we played them mid season in 2012.
Should be an easy win for the Mountaineers by 30+ points.

Can understand Georgia Southern playing so many BCS money games right now since they need the extra money. Gives them a chance to have another impressive win also.

TK has expressed before that this is what he is working toward. As we continue to fund stadium upgrades and such though I wouldn't be surprised if we see a season here and there with 2 money games.
As far as our 2015 schedule I think the B12 money game is a rumor, I think we are more likely to see another G5 MAC home/home matchup.
P.S. - Great scheduling for App State. Nice to get a home/home with a school like Southern Miss who is very beatable (now at least) but whose name carries a good bit of weight.

Yes. They are a member of the MEAC with teams such as SC State, FL A&M, Norfolk State, etc.

If the SBC doesn't add anyone before 2015, App will have an incredible home schedule that year. ODU, USM, GS, Troy, ULL, stAte.

Replace ODU with Howard, but yes that is an awesome home slate, even better when you consider it will be only year 2 at the FBS level.
