They presented that at the MSU game.

Pocket change....But every bit helps. We need more people to give money.

That is a nice gift but will get stretched pretty thin to do all those updates. Anyone willing to donate $75mil to USA will get a statue erected of them next to the new football stadium. Any takers???

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. However, I agree I don't understand how that amount of money is supposed to pay for the listed improvements.

I'll tell you what helped at NT. We moved the athletics fund raisers directly under the main campus development people. I think that 1) minimized the competition between the academic/athletic fundraisers and 2) pooled resources and experience.

This year the AD decided we need to build a dedicated BB practice facility and upgrade the video system at the arena. Price tag was almost three million. The new development people were able to raise that in less than thirty days.

I don't know how Troy handles fund raising, but maybe that unified effort would help.

Its not going to pay for those things but it will HELP for sure.....WE have about 30% or so of the total funds needed for our 35Million dollar Football Stadium addition raised thus far.

I don't know how it works in Georgia, but in Texas you can't use academic money to directly fund athletics. Can you guys use a student passed fee to pay off a bond issue?

Students here have passed two fees to do that. I'm sure you're all sick of posts about our new stadium, but that is what paid for it, and what has paid for half a dozen new facilities on campus.

However, with the economy the way it is, I think our students are tapped out. If we want a baseball team its going to have to be 100% alumni financed. I don't know how Troy students would fee about passing a fee.
