I could get on board with some aspects of the tea party. I get the idea of spending only what you take in. I believe BOTH parties will spend like crackheads looking for a fix on "their priorties". Here's why I think the tea party is just a rebranding effort by the GOP.

The substantial net tax burden imposed by low-skill U.S. households also suggests lessons for immigration policy. Recently proposed immigration legislation would greatly increase the number of poorly educated immigrants entering and living in the United States. Before this policy is adopted, Congress should examine carefully the potential negative fiscal effects of low-skill immigrant households receiving services. Receiving, on average, at least $22,449 more in benefits than they pay in taxes each year, low-skill households impose substantial long-term costs on the U.S. taxpayer. Assuming an average 50-year adult life span for heads of household, the average life time costs to the taxpayer will be $1.1 million for each low-skill household, net of any taxes paid. If the costs of interest and other financial obligations are added, the average lifetime cost rises to $1.3 million per household.

This is why I am totally against any sort of amnesty. Other people on here are soft on enforcing immigration laws. I feel, a large part of our fiscal problems at the local, state and federal level can be attributed to illegal immigration. Failure of our gov't to enforce our sovereignty is just like passing Obamacare and not addressing the tort reform problem. Turn a blind's eye to the 900lb. gorillia in the room. Throw all the bastards out.

Given some of the primary fights, and animosity, between the GOP and the TEA party that's kind of a hard sell to make.

In 2009 "almost 2000" people attended the VVS.
