Zee, the scoreboard read Louisiana 9, Louisiana-Monroe 1. We are not going to honor their request to be called ULM in Lafayette any longer.

Good! We don't want to be called "ULM in Lafayette" either unless you want to be our satellite branch, but I don't think you'd want that.
We're fine with Louisiana-Monroe. ULM's just easier to say and type.
See, the thing is, it doesn't really bother most of us what you call us because we're comfortable with our name. Call us LaMoan or the Hoax, whatever...is that the best you got? What's funny is how bent out of shape you all are when we call you by your correct name...we don't have to make anything up to get a rise out of you.

With all due respect, your SID requested to be called ULM. So let's not try and spin it; they were told not in Lafayette. Thanks for playing the name game. As I've stated in the past, only the chickenhawk crowd wants to instruct other SID's what to call your athletic programs and ours.

Who knows for certain. It may have salvaged a dismal showing on their softball page on their message board.
Their first post since February 25th.
It read much like the Panthers board after the last regular season Saints game.
