Soon, there will be a report that will come out and state that a little over 36 million people live in poverty. This report is an ulterior motive that is a supportive stance for people lobbying for more big government, more government social programs, and higher taxation.
Here's what they don't say:
People that are considered "Living in Poverty":
1. Retirees making less than 19K a year, but have homes paid off and a substantial bank account. You could be rich as hell, collect SS, and be "living in poverty" according to the dumbasses running this country.
2. Millionaires that don't work. Pass the Caviar.
3. People on government assistance (They don't count the money they GET from government assistance)
4. People in between jobs, but may have friggin' 5 mil in the bank, so they don't even think about unemployment.
5. People on unemployment. They may have a substantial savings, but still go on unemployment.
Do you see the similarities? Their SOLE determining factor as to who actually lives in poverty is earned income alone. Pathetic.
When I think about poverty, I think Liberia and maybe a few "Urban Outdoorsmen".
