I really like the new TI joint, "Big Things Poppin'". Also I've been dipping back to the past with a few Tupac songs, mainly One Day at a Time and Runnin' (featuring Biggie).

Mark Hollis- S/T

A masterpiece. Equal parts ambient, jazz, classical, post rock...just brilliant. Every single note is in its place for a reason, and is given time to breath. The past few years I was very into Talk Talk's last two albums (Laughing Stock & Spirit Of Eden) which are in the same vein. Somehow I missed this one until recently; Mark Hollis' solo album from 1998 builds on those album's themes even more, and yet somehow is even more subdued and powerful. Layers of percussion, lingering guitar riffs, a horn here, a string there. Even the lyrics are timely: ""Heaven burn me, Should I swear to fight once more." Criminally overlooked (as are those other 2 releases).

In doing a quick search to find this image, the site I stumbled on rated this one of the LEAST essential albums of the 90s. I find it brilliant and comedic genius.

Good. I only made it through the first 2 discs though. Some of those songs had some different takes on them.

EDIT: Oh yea, I've also been listening to a bunch of the garage punk podcasts lately (Mostly the Hot Slop podcast). Loving the garage stuff lately...and guitars.
